Research

Postnatal Heart Development & in vivo Functional Genomics
We chart heart development at single-cell, spatial, and temporal resolution, combining time-course single-nucleus RNA-seq, in situ imaging, and in vivo perturbation to reveal regulatory programs that drive cardiomyocyte maturation.

Direct Cardiac Reprogramming for Heart Regeneration
We investigate how fibroblast identity can be remodeled into induced cardiomyocyte-like cells using compact reprogramming cocktails, with the goal of improving cardiac repair after injury.

Congenital Heart Disease Genetics
Working with clinical and computational collaborators, we aim to functionally interpret disease-associated genes and variants using CRISPR perturbation, single-cell readouts, iPSC models, and organoid systems.
